For this photo I took 6 photos in 2 rows 3 in each row, I usually overlap each photo minimum 30%.
I expose for the brightest part of the image.

Post, I use Lightroom usually edit one photo and copy and paste settings to rest of photos, I then bring all photos into photoshop and stitch together, in photoshop it’s pretty much auto. When photo is stitched I bring back to Lightroom and do some light editing and I’m finished.

I think overlapping is most important when shooting panorama anything from 30% to 50% works well, and always expose for the brightest part of the image.

While I use LR/PS they’re many options out there including free SW that do a great job stitching.

you can stitch them directly in lightroom too, the only drawback is if you have to do some cutting at strange angles...but then again you can open the pano in photoshop

Yeah, I’ve been doing it this way before Lightroom had ability to stitch, whatever floats your boat. ;+):::::::
