I have owned a Mavic Air for a year now, which I connect with a 2 years old Samsung S9+. Occasionally I get the message "disconnected" at the left top when I am flying. The strange thing is that I keep full control. I see the live images on my phone and can perform all functions as it should. At least I think so: the message scares me every time, so I almost immediately put the device back on the ground. This is also without problems. When I restart the problem is gone.

I had already done some research and have already replaced the connection cable with a new one. But even if I connect the S9+ to the USB connection at the bottom of the controler, the problem sometimes occurs.

I already did that, but unfortunately I don't see any "disconnected" in the log files.

I linked the log file via wetransfer, maybe you see something more:

It is the same notification as if you turn off the controller when the controller is still connected to the phone.

That's not unusual.
You are on the edge of losing the downlink but the uplink commonly holds a little longer.
It's a good warning that you are about to lose all signal and should come back.

I do not understand that: the drone did not go further than 50m on the total flight and I flew in an area with very little interference and always with a view on the drone. The notification remained on the screen until it was turned off . The drone landed a few meters away.

Or was it because I flew on 5 GHz? Saw this by chance when I landed it.

The photo I took was taken at home to show what notification I got (Was obtained by turning off the controller)

So is not a screenshot of the problem that had in flight.

Hi,

Never saw this on my drones, checked your records and there is no gap in time between them, all records are written roughly each 1/10 of a second.
So the downlink for data is a imo good one, video down link might be the problem.

I am not using Samsung devices, but you are not the first user of Samsung devices to have some kind of problems. Mayby try another device for test ?

Mayby the event log in the DAT file will tell more, look for FLY024.DAT on your mobile device.

Thank you for checking the data. I have only limited knowledge of this. For the data files: I find several of the flight from that day.  Here the link to Wetransfer:

I am not a specialist either on DAT files....at 288 seconds in flight a really short RC disconnect, this for 0.3 of a second. Mayby this triggered the disconnect message on the screen.
But in my logic screen should be oke again with a connection...
I always fly with a screen recorder active (DU recorder for Android), sometimes usefull to replay the flight.screen to see better what happend.
No errors in the DAT afaik so see what happned next time flying, and try different phone if possible.

cheers

Hi there, the disconnection issue indicates that the remote controller is not connected to the mobile phone. In this case, carry out the following steps:
1. Disconnect the cable on the Micro USB port on the left when using the USB port.
2. Restart the mobile device or remote controller, or reinsert the cable, or replace the mobile device.
3. Try using the Micro USB port or USB port to check whether the two ports are functioning.
4. Use the mobile device on the compatibility list.
