Hello everyone, unfortunately I had a drastic incident with my 6 week old DJ Mavic Mini.  in the middle of the flight came a message about a battery problem (battery communication error code 110007) and the sudden deactivation of GPS, which meant that the drone could only fly in ATTI mode.  both error messages (see screenshots) came almost simultaneously.  The drone has not had a crash since the six weeks of owning it and I have carried out the latest firmware update through a refresh via DJ Assistant 2.  Please help me, do I have to send in the drone to dji? Battery faulty? GPS modul faulty? Best regards Daniel

Battery Error / GPS Error

Hello everyone,
unfortunately I had a drastic incident with my 6 week old DJ Mavic Mini.  in the middle of the flight there was suddenly a message about a battery problem (battery communication error code 110007, 20 load cycles) and the sudden deactivation of GPS, which meant that the drone could only fly in ATTI mode.  both error messages (see screenshots) came almost simultaneously.  The drone has not had a fall in the six weeks and I have carried out the latest firmware update through a refresh via DJ Assistant 2.  Please help me: can I continue to use the battery?  A test flight was then flawless.  Is the GPS module broken?  I had several error messages with low GPS accuracy (Error Code 30049) about 3 weeks ago but the GPS was always active with these messages (number of satellites 16).

well there is an increasing number of those incidents...which is kind of preoccupying...i had same issue last month, since than i had flown numerous times the same battery without issues. Check if the battery was all the way plugged in, this might be what is causing the battery communication error...usually before taking off make sure it is snug in and well connected.

Had the same problem a few days ago. Luckily, I hadn't lost connection and managed to fly home safe. Arrived there, the mini refused to land on my hand, had to grab it  and turn it around to stop motors. Flight log stops at the moment when the error occured. Can't remember having had that issue before.

Hi, it may be caused by the battery is not installed properly, you are recommended to reinstall the battery to see if the error still prompt or not. At the same time, you may change to another battery for cross-verify.
If the issue still persists, you are recommended to send it in for a thorough diagnosis. You may start an online repair request on our official web: https://repair.dji.com/repair/index?site=brandsite&from=nav or contact our support team at this link: http://www.dji.com/support to open a case and then send it in.

Had this exact error twice now. Several weeks between but same battery. Battery error and gps loss. Flew it in by hand in windy conditions. Both times landed with no damage.  Had to use camera feed to decent from serval 100 meters up and away. 100% sure the second time that battery was locked and installed correct

Reported both incidents to DJI. Looks like a serious sof ware bug where a battery error shuts down GPS. In my opinion a tier 1 safety issue, This could never be possible. Mini has latest FW. Is 1 month old and that battery only charged 22x

Thanks for report. I read in a german forum the same situation several times. Scary.  What do we do now?  I got the GPS error message first, then the battery message.  Do you think the defective battery creates the whole problem?

Hello, thanks for the feedback.  I am sure that the battery was installed correctly.  Unfortunately, there are now several cases that I know that have exactly the same occurrence with battery and GPS failure

I think that a software bug is killing the GPS when battery error ocurs. Faulty battery is the problem but GPS fail makes it an disaster.

All my flights are uploaded and even visible in Airdata.
When connecting the mini to the dji assistent will i find more files?
i looked in the maps of my mobile phone (witch was connected tot the remote) and alle the .dat files are uplaoded?

All my flights are uploaded and even visible in Airdata.

in dji assistant 2 there is an option to download the flight logs dat file for all the flights until the moment. in my case it was 500 mb...there should be more info in there hopefully something their developers can see relating that issue, as the standard log just stops logging any battery info after the battery data communication error.

got a mavic mini in Japan and was able to fly several times but when i get back here in the Philippines tried to fly it but was not able to do so even in open areas where GPS has no interferences.  only getting this "Unable to take off" "No GPS signal. Unable to hover. Fly with caution (Code 30007)" on my screen.. any help with this kind of problem? thanks so much..

Well after a while of investigating all my flightlogs DJI offers the following sollution in the email coppied below.
Conclusion:

Jam in the aircraft system, do a firmware and when its not resolved send in the bird on my own cost.
Not a word about a faulty battery and send it in on my own cost ?(bird is 1,5 months old)
Can not figure out why they just not replace the battery under warrenty, not gonna send my bird back if its just a battery problem. And i had the newest firmware since it came out.

Convidence in customersupport and the product DJI is down the drain now. Had planned an upgrade to the Mavic Air 2 but not gonna do that now.
I am buying a new battery and will fly until my mini will crash. Got DJI care refresh thank god.

Please carefully check anain if this issue persists. If it still cannot be resolved, please kindly send your drone in for further diagnosis and repair is needed. As you are in Netherlands now but the origin of your Mini is Thailand, you can choose to send it in our repair facility in Netherlands, which will be a paid service, or you can send it back to Hong Kong, the repair will be free if this issue is not caused by you.
