I've just bought an Osmo Pocket and am torn on which ND filters to get after doing a lot of research.  I am looking to use it for video, time lapse and some long exposure photography.  Has anyone got experience with the ND1000 and would they recommend it?  I am currently leaning towards the Neewer set which has ND8, ND16, ND32/PL and ND64/PL.

Long exposure (like really long) is going to be a challenge.
The nature of gimbals is that they tend to move (a little).
You can manage, but need a wind free environment and a sturdy tripod.

For video these normal range ND filters are perfect.

Good point, thanks, think I will leave the ND1000 and stick with the 'standard' set.  Now my decision is down to whether I get the set that has the ND32/PL and ND64/PL (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Neewer- ... 86936954&sr=8-4) or stick with the standard ND set (https://www.amazon.co.uk/PGYTECH ... 86936986&sr=8-4).

You can always first try some long exposure shots with low light (so you can see how the OP performs with long exposures) and buy the 1000 afterwards.

I'm not sure if there are any, but I love my variable ND filter because I can leave it on and change it as the light requires.

I bought one of these for my phone and whilst I really like it, I also got some vignette on one side when using up to ND400 which has kinda put me off.  That could be completely down to the filter I have though.

Mine has that on the most dense part too, but still it can replace all my 'normal' ND filters.
So I only need one for filming.
Only when I want really long exposures I need a separate ND filter .

Have you ever tried polarised filters? Understand what they give you but just not sure how much I would use them. The pack im looking at has standard ND filters for 8 and 16 then a combo for 32 and 64.

Yes I have.
I like them for photography, but less for videography (since the effect changes when you change the angle that the light is hitting the glass).
If you have the time to adjust that constantly, that is ok, but for me it is inconvenient (on video) and I only use them for photography.
(mainly to get more dark blue sky....)
I know it can eliminate reflections and cause for a more 'natural' look, but I don't like the hassle of putting them on, since I mainly shoot for private use only (kids etc) and I don't have too much time to react to something they do.

I really like the Skyreat ND filters. I used the on all my equipment.

Both Mavics and both my Osmo pocket and Osmo Action.
