Due to Coronavirus lockdown, I was a bit bored and thought I could do a short video and actually measure if the MOD 2.0 does really give you more video range, and how much it is.

Nice info only mod 2.0 is very old Sir, now these day you can even go much further with FCC Boost on Spark

Hello, two things to consider:
1) You can check if the aircraft is in fcc or ce mode by looking at the available channels:
fcc -> 11 channels (since channel 11 & 12 are not allowed in fcc )
ce -> 13 channels

2) I cannot confirm that by connecting via usb cable the fcc settings are kept. For me, when I connect via usb then open the original dji app it switches back into ce mode.

3) Do you have a measuring tool for 2.4 ghz ? It would be interesting to see if the spark increases its output power in 2.4ghz also when set to fcc mode

More info:
Inspired by your video I tried setting the dji spark to fcc mode by using the modified dji go app. However, as already mentioned, this only works as long as you use the mod app.

However, I decided to give the tool from above video a try and got it to work. This way you can use any app, since it modifies the spark's firmware.

I can recommend using it and would love to see how it affects 2.4 ghz power output (I can only test it on a general 'feeling' base - I feel like the range got greatly increased )

It also has an option for FCC + boost - while I haven't tried it out yet since I am a bit worried about damages I might do that in the future.

After more testing I am really impressed by the hack. While my spark would previosly lag starting at 100-200 m away I can now reach at least 500m distance with stable video.
It is a night and day difference. I can now also follow the youtube videos recommending the dji spark - yes, with fcc (aka us settings) it is a decent drone with pretty good range.
For me, I saw these videos online, then got the spark and was really disapointed.
If I was to rate the video range / reliability I would give the fcc mode 4 times the performance as the ce mode.

What's the best way, easies way, to get to FCC mode?

3 years ago i see 1900m only with fake gps.
In open area,sea side.
Now what e ever i try i see max 500m.
Fake gps
Mod app.
Or the mod  with pc.
I need 1500m to make a video on simos beach on elafonosos island.(pic) ho is 1700m long......
to fly from the land to the island which is 900 meters......
*I try older versions from the official app,nothing change.....
*I know the limits in the app,max high 120m and distance 500m.....

You need to install dji go with mods it's easy polish youtuber made a video and ther is a linik to the app
