Used the DJI multi charger to charge the batteries (not the first time by the way) each time I do this i cant get the batteries to charge to 100.

each time, straight from the charger, they reach between 96-98 when I power on the quad,

My Mavic Pro has no issues charging to 100.

PS the batteries are brand new with only a handful of charges on them.

I think mine do the same thing, might be normal for a Mavic Mini.

I think that's normal, mine does the same thing.

Same, often if I want peak battery I'll charge the last few % in the mini itself. That's the only way I've gotten 100%, otherwise 95% is standard.

I tried that, it didnt start charging in the Mini.

Come on DJI this isnt a toy quad, its battery should charge to the full amount, you say 30 minute flight, even just gently flying around i cant get past 27 minutes of flight, maybe because the batteries dont fully charge.

I get 96-98 out of the charger.  However, if I put it in the MM and continue to charge it does reach 100%.  No idea as to why this happens, just does and at least I have a work around.

As i said to the bearded italian, i tried that, it didnt charge any further, but thanks

The battery percentage of charge is an estimated value, there is no actual way of measuring it, other than calculating the value using the charge/discharge quantity and time. And for 'crach1sttime', yes, it is a toy.

The cheerson c10 and the syma are toys, something i wouldnt care to lose to a tree, but at £360 sorry its not a toy

That said I think i have the issue sorted, I charged the battery in the mini using a standard 5v 2A plug and it charged to 100, im thinking the fast charge has something to do with it.

Nope, the Mini is still a toy, just not a cheap one.

An intelligent charger, if it really is, when it reaches the end of recharging, further reduces the charge rate. This way the battery can charge 100% of mAh.

It's like trying to fill a glass of water. For it to be well filled, the flow must be reduced. With a too powerful flow, we must stop before the glass overflows and thus, the glass is not completely filled.
