So this was on the news this morning.  People need to stop being a dic* and flying these things where they shouldn't. If not we will all suffer.

This happen a long time ago actually... That fat guy was a drunk idiot, who didn't know what he was talking about... (If you seen the full video)  and it was not the pilots fault.

I just hate to see stories like this. I saw the fat guy a while back too but the press keeps finding more ways to demonize these things and im afraid it will kill my (our) fun.  I hope more people will get creative rather than flying around houses and over people and push the popularity in a positive direction.   

Sigh. Quadcopters (not that other D word) have so much potential but idiots and the media are gonna stifle this hobby for all of us.  As of now we're not allowed to go over 400 feet and have to remain in "line of sight". which is fine and all, but soon we won't even be allowed to to go over the trees and fly beyond 100  feet away. Not to mention they'll probably force us to get a $1000 license to fly one. If this doesn't stop this hobby will be dead by 2020 and it will be a sad day for us who enjoy and practice this hobby responsibly.

RELAX... Nobody is going to take your drones away.

I agree the fat guy was a drunken idiot. On the other hand, those two guys with the quad (one of them was flying and the other one was filming) might not be the brightest bulbs either.

They obviously either launched or were hovering over what very much looks like a not-so-quiet urban street environment. I don't think I would have been flying there and if I had been, when that fat bum waddled over anywhere near my bird I would gotten the hell out of Dodge!
