I have been using Lightworks x64, I can produce an edited video but the PC can struggle, I have a i5 2500s 2.70ghz, 16gb ram and a 1050ti 4gb Graphics. 1TB HD. This is a new PC to me as purchased it for something else and this was a great spec for that, then decided to buy the drone. Maybe able to upgrade to an i7 but waiting on advice as haven't a clue.

Is there any software that would run better for me? I do like Lightworks as easy to use.

Sorry to add to this I have tried the Windows 10 Video editor and runs fine but just not very good.

Try davinci resolve,  they have a free version for the community.

Also lookup davinci resolve proxy mode this will make lower res video files you use for the edit and then the final rendering will create a high res output.

I use Davinci Resolve version 15 and it relies heavily on newer computer spec's, and even then, it sometimes chokes.  Try using Davinci Resolve version 14 (free version) and see if your computer can handle it.  If that doesnt work, go one version down, meaning, try version 13.

I also have the same issue... I bought my Mavic Air 2 as my first drone, but only realising my computers cannot handle editing 4K files. I have tried lowering Proxy setting and change to GPU CUDA rendering, but Davinci Resolve still give "GPU Memory Full" constantly. Should I spend more money on building a new PC to handle 4K videos?

I have a old desktop:
Intel i7-3770K @ 3.50GHz (very old but still fast)
GeForce GTX 680 with 2GB VRAM
16GB RAM

and a new laptop I just bought for school:
Intel i7-10510U @1.80GHz
GeForce MX250 2GB VRAM
12GB RAM

I don't know much about computers etc but the 7 should be ok, the gpu memory is the issue at 2gb, I needed 4gb for something else as 2 was no good. I could do with the i7 as i'm running an i5 but 16gb ram and a 1050ti 4gb gpu
