I powered on my Air 2 a moment ago to format a card, and my RC started beeping as soon as i turned it on.
If i remember correctly, that used to happen (on all RCs since at least Phantom 2) when the sticks are not centered on power-on.

However, not only were they centered, but there were no sticks screwed in either.

Turning the RC off and on again did not help.
It stopped after i moved the mode switch all the way to tripod, then sport, then back to normal.

Anyone experienced anything similar?

Yep. Me too about 50% of the time. It lasts for several seconds, then stops.

Yeah, mine wouldn't stop until i've jogged the mode switch around.
I wonder if the switch contacts are simply noisy and that's tripping it up sometimes.

Isn't this related to RC calibration, have you tried calibrating and see if it repeats or just toggling the mode switch only?  I haven't encountered this yet but solution is handy to know so thanks for sharing.
