I've been using Mavic Air 1 for almost two years and bought Mavic Air 2 as soon as it was launched.

Upon purchase, I have conducted three tests at eachother locations and would like to review the results honestly.

First of all, the first flight video .

The first flight was quite disappointing.
The condition of the gimbal and the function of the camera were very good (in fact, even in an emergency turn, it captures a broken image without being disturbed).
However, the biggest disappointment was frequent signal interruptions.

RTH by signal break was performed every 150m, 200m, 400m and 500m forward.
"Is this a real Ocusync 2.0 drone?" made me think.

The reason was simple.
It is that the antenna installed on the mobile phone stand is oriented.
A little misdirected antenna led to poor signal.
Due to the reflector of the sun, the screen of the cell phone could not be seen well, leading to the signal loss even if the controller was stopped a little.

The only solution is to match the direction of the antenna to the direction of the drone.
After that, the signal was no longer lost after  found out the cause.

This is the second test video.

In the second test, wind resistance and flight capability tests were the main content.

No problems can be identified in the above video.
However, click the link at the under and check the video.
This is a video that captures the screen of a mobile phone while controlling it.

The flight distance problem has been solved after finding out the reason, but the biggest problem occurs.
Video for 14 to 40 seconds.
This is a sudden application stop while approaching the ferry.
Approaching to shoot the ferry.

The DJI FLY app suddenly turns off at 802m distance.

I was embarrassed, but he quickly started to reconnect the fuselage.

Reconnecting to the fuselage in 12 seconds.

But during this time, the fuselage was 23 meters forward.

If the app goes off and off, it's not hover.

It looks like it's carrying out the signal from the last one delivered.

If this happens on a terrain with obstacles,

We don't know if we're going to avoid obstacles or collide.

And if this is a clash with the screen capture app,

There seems to be no way to check if DJI FLY app is a bug yet.

I'm using LG's V30 cell phone.
Maybe DJI hates LG company.

The last one was two tests.
Finally, "Fly as you please" test.

Mavic Air 2 is a fantastic drone.

In conclusion, the results of the three tests
Mavic Air2 is the strongest drone that exists today (excluding Mavic2).
The flying ability has enough capacity to blow up the owner's feelings.
The gimbal and camera show a stable screen despite its fast manoeuvring and unstable operation.
If we can figure out the cause of the SIGNAL LOST, we'll probably fly at 20 kilometers until the battery runs out.
However, the DJI FLY app does not apply well to all mobile phones.
This app is unique in certain cell phones.
This seems to require rapid improvement.

I wish you a happy day with a pleasant flight.

Thanks for that honest review. I would also assume that maybe the reason why many often loose signal of their drone when flying in sun- they tilt the controller upwards to see better but inadvertently causing signal loss.

I think that's why the signal loss occurs.
Thank you.

Nice review.  A suitable sun hood is on my list of accessories and perhaps on yours.  I have been lucky in that I have managed to find shade to stand in most places I go, except if its noon.  Pointing the controller at the drone at all times will ensure max range.  I read that there is a hard coded stop at 11km, so no chance of 20km flyaway.  Thanks.

I think you're right. I think I should buy a sun hood.
I always think it's necessary to steer a drone in its direction.
Actually, smart controllers can handle all of this.
And on the other hand, my pockets aren't that big.
Everybody knows that smart controllers are more expensive than they think.
Have a nice day.

Good review, I think much of your problems were of your own making. What you say about loosing signal was a little confusing, loss of signal you can set craft to Rth or hover or land, pilot needs to set this. Rth on loss of signal, craft will fly backwards for 50m if it regains signal it will prompt you to re take control or continue to first fly to preset Rth height if below this and head straight home. So no real danger of any collision when loosing signal.

I’m not really aware of problems with app, but I know that we would have heard similar with go4 for some. I think fly app is pretty good excellent for video and photography as it’s extremely clean and free of clutter camera controls are more accessible. Hopefully they will sort out if some phones are not showing compatibility.

Thank you for your opinion.
But of course, when the signal was cut off, the setting was set to RTH, not hovering or landing.
You'll have to talk to me after see the linked cell phone capture video.
And like I said, I used MAVIC AIR 1 for two years, right?
Even then, even if I turned my back against the drone and controlled it, there was no signal lost within 500 meters.
Even as you know, MAVIC AIR1 is a Wi-Fi transmission!
Oh, my gosh.
Don't try to write too easily about the user's fault.
Look at my flying distance if you're wondering.

And the problem is not that the signal is off, but that the running APP is just off.

It's serious. It's just that DJI needs to be aware and update the APP.

Have a nice day, my friend.

I doubt that DJI hates LG. They continue to say that the LG G6 is compatible when my painful experience begs to differ. If anything, they should hate it ;-)

The DJI FLY APP was updated to 2020.06.05 yesterday.
I haven't applied it yet, but I think we need to check it again.
Have a nice day.
