When you say HDR photo what you do mean?  There's a Smart option in photo...there's an HDR option in video...are you taking a screen shot while in HDR video???

I took 5 photos with AEB and put the 5 photos together with Photomatix to HDR

beautiful photo, well done, I use photomatix my self very good HDR editor if I must say so my self...

FWIW, the Smart photo detects the scene and decides what kind of shot to take. For this scenario, it will take an HDR photo. The resulting photo is quite similar to taking a 5-shot AEB and merging it yourself in something like Lightroom but the standard HDR will have slightly more noise than the manually-merged 5-shot AEB. If you want the best result possible, take a 5-shot AEB and do it yourself. If you want a nice image fast, just take the built-in HDR photo (via the Smart photo menu)_

Although the OP did this wonderful still in post to HDR if you capture stills using SmartPhoto the MA2 will blend hyperlight and scene recognition with HDR to capture the image. So that option is technically an HDR still straight off the micro sd card.
