The story behind it was not so nice!

Yes Montfrooij but we have to think of it like this: the mine provided work and a certain degree of wealth to the area for many years. Had it never been opened I wouldn't have made any video on it because it would have been a paradise of biodiversity but densely packed with trees and bushes, impossible to visit and quite uninteresting viewed from above.

I leave you with some other pictures as an example of what beauty couldn't have happened without human intervention, this was a natural hotspring, another uninteresting feature otherwise hidden in the vegetation and represented just by some puddles and bubbles in a muddy terrain.
