Is there any possibility that the Pilot App will be developed for the iPad 1? My iPad 1 is still a very viable tablet and I really don't want to buy another iPad just to use with the i1. I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels this way.

I do not believe so. Processing video takes a fair bit of power, something that the Ipad 1 does not have. This is the reason why they list compatible devices.
