Something I learned by trail and error about the precision landing: Use the side of the pad that contrasts with the ground. If you had a black pattern on the other side, I would have used that instead of the yellow/orange one.

Too bad about the problem with the restriction. But it looked like you had to drop only about 50 feet to be permitted.

About the app crash, that happened to me early on once when using sport mode and recording 4k video with the cached video saving to the tablet. I turned off the cached video and used a screen recorder instead and it has not happened since.

I actually never use that feature.
