Is there any possibility to place a thermal cam on the inspire 1? And will this be possible in the near future?

If anyone knows of a way to do this with the Inspire, please let me know. Thank you!

Not a chance. The inspire they have very neglected, I think they are devoting all the time to inspire 2 and when present will take all the accessories and tools. GS, Handheld, new gimbal, new camera ...
A disaster, because they will lose many customers.

I was told no and had to buy a P2 as it is on the same frequency as the camera .

I think FLAIR is coming out with one the might work with the Inspire and P3. You will have to customize it  to the bird. But I think it starts at $1600.00

I hope so.

In fact I will be disappointed if there is no thermal camera option for the Inspire at some point.

It runs out of five volts so it should not be a problem. A 2.4 TX/RX  should do the trick

If its a thermal then you need to be viewing live what you are seeing, otherwise you will have to review in post edit and this is not really good enough if your client wants to know there and then or you are specifically looking for something that gives off a heat signature.

Conventional Lightbridge product has AV Inputs
1) Can one use i1 Lightbridge AV Inputs (if it has AV Inputs) to connect to the Thermal Camera AV output
2) As GB44 mentioned how do you switch to the Thermal image from within the Pilot App  <<  Doubt it
Seems like the only method is a seperate 5.8 Ghz AV Transmission system with a seperate Viewing Monitor with
a builtin DVR

I installed a front pilot camera with a txt in the back and a 5.8 mgs receiver/monitor. Same for the infrared camera nothing to it and yes you have to tap into the inspire power source

The camera I bought was $6k from them it has thermal and normal lens on 2 different screens  but will not run on I1 .The kit is very complicated and not an easy add on. Worked all day yesterday putting it together and still not done .

Maybe but the whole thing is complicated .I like having the duel view for rescue .I hope to be flying by next week and will report back .So far I am not very impressed with DSLR PRO .They sent no info on how to put the kit together and tech support was up there with DJI .Lovely !!!!!!!

I am also totally interested adding the Flir Vue to an Inspire1 . Would like some ideas or info if dji is developing something with flir... Would like to tie it in with the inspires lightbridge.
