I got to spend some time with one of my nephews over the weekend. I thouroughly enjoyed it. We broke out the MA2 and had a blast. I kinda started showing him the ropes about a drone at first. Blew through one hole battery covering the basics and letting him try it out. Then we took turns flying it around. We split it up between a local park and at the house. He wants one sooo bad now. Only thing, he doesn't have job right now and his mom isn't in the best financial position in the world, but hey, neither am I. I'm thinking of talking to his mom and seeing if we can't do something together to get him one for Christmas. Any who, we had a great day just talking and spending time together and I loved it. Here's a couple things we did.
One is an asteroid quickshot:


and the other was where we were trying out a dolly zoom or the vertigo effect.


I love the asteroid quickshot. I think I've heard it called tiny planet before. I know these are not anything new, but they are to me and for I'm realizing how affective (and addictive) this new drone is compared to others.

Thanks Woe, much appreciated. I think this bird has little different meaning to me as compared to my Mini now. I love my mini, but I believe the moment my nephew and I shared with my MA2, was a really great bonding moment between he and I so I think that may make me look at my MA2 in a little more positive light. I also think moments like these are what it's all about. Given the current situation with the covid stuff, anything that can bring people together, is just plain awesome in my mind. Sure there's using drone's for work purposes and I plan on eventually doing that a little later this year with my MA2, but bringing folks together, for me at least, is where it's at.

Motorcycles was my thing at one time.  My nephews only 18 and I’m surprised he doesn’t have an interest in them right now but he doesn’t. Good thing because his oldest brother has torn everything he’s ever had to pieces running them as hard as they will go, wrecking and the likes. I didn’t think he would make it to 25, but he’s slowed down a little bit now.

Dolly zoom is pretty easy. Just zoom the opposite of how you’re moving. Pretty cool affect that I’ve used a couple times.

Yeah, it's fiddly at first but easy to pick up and is a great effect.
