Hi all new user waiting on new Mavic Air 2. I use to have the original Mavic a few years ago and had to sell it do to personnel reasons. I remeber every now and then I would get a warning that I was in some kind of control air space and was still able to fly. Fast forward to now. As I'm getting ready to get my new drone I down loaded the KittyHawck and the DJI Fly apps. On the Kitty hawk app I show I'm pretty much in class G airspace. This has also been comfirment by The ATC center that controls most of the air space in shouthern New Mexico. Here is my location for anyone who cares to look it up  32°49'01.8"N 105°58'53.8"W. On the Kitty Hawk app I show I have no zones over my house. But in the DJI fly app it shows I'm in an authorize zone. I do have a non controlled apport about 4 miles to the norh of me. So when I go to the Fly safe where you select to unlock a zone what I see. It says no unlocking required.So when I get my new drone in what can I expect? Thanks in advance. According to the DJI Fly Safe map (https://www.dji.com/flysafe/self-unlock) you’re in an Authorization zone. You will need to do a self-unlock before you can take off. For what it’s worth, I’m in the same boat, if I want to fly at my house I need to do a self-unlock, which is good for three days.

How come it shows no unlocking needed when I use their website?  FAA center tells me I'm in class G airspace

I'll have to look into how that is done. I'm not sure when I'll get my drone in so I'll penty of time to figure it out

I think I can do it before hand on the webite. Thanks for your reply

Just go to the self-unlock page I linked to, select the Mavic Air 2 as the drone model, and search for the area you want to fly in. Select the unlock zone, enter the serial number of the flight controller and the start date for the unlock. You’ll also have to provide the phone number of a device able to receive a confirmation code via SMS. Once the area is unlocked, you need to go to the Safety menu in DJI Fly and upload the unlock to the drone.

We knew the flight controller's serial number from your first email. 3N3BH7H012009P is the device's SN and the flight controller's SN.

The requested area has been unlocked for one year.

Please follow the detailed steps in the attachment to unlock it when you receive the aircraft.
If the unlocking is unsuccessful, please send us a video of the whole unlocking process and we will try best to solve the issue.

Having issues unlocking the new DJI FPV Drone. I have received your email but not sure how to do what you are asking as we can only use the Headset. The headset as far as I know has no way of doing a screen shot. Please advise
