Yesterday i used for first time the hyperlapse option in the mavic air 2
I used 8k, mov format and h.265 codec
I have an ipad pro 11"
Micro SD Card used is the one sold in DJI website, a SanDisk Extreme 128gb u3 A2 v30 xc1

I cannot play the video from the fly app, neither download it to the ipad
It just says cannot play from sd card, download the video to a computer

I connect the drone to the computer, and still cannot play the video, i copy the file to the computer desktop and still unable to play the video
I also connect the microsd card to the ipad (with an apple original dongle), and still cannot play the file

Any solution to these issues???

Most computers and iPad can't process 8k videos. So the issue
may be your computer.

Hello there Drone Taiwan. I am sorry for the trouble this has caused and thank you for reaching out. Kindly please try using a different PC to see id the issue will still persist. As Woe posted on pot #2 some computers might not process the said video. Thank you.

Yes, my computer is quite old, probably dont support 8k videos

What about the ipad pro 11”? I though it may be able to play them

So, technically if i shoot the 8k hyperlapse, i wont be able even to play it within the app, unless im using a phone or tablet with 8k capabilities, right?

In this case i use my ipad pro 11” to use the fly app (As is a big screen and very comfortable to fly the drone with it), so there is no way i can play the videos at least to see how it was filmed.

, and my phone is an iphone 5s hahahaha, technically i only use my phone for calls and chat, dont have any app installed there.

I am waiting for the new iphone to be launched (which i assume will be able to play the 8k videos)

It could also be the H265 rendering that is causing the issue, try 8k H264 and see if it plays

Unless your intention is to watch your creations on 96" home theatre plasma monitor, all this 8K squeezed off a fingernail size sensor is nothing but plain absurd marketing hype. So, until you are contracted by George Lucas for filming IMAX size Star Wars Episode XXIII, stick with 4K H.264 format and you'll be just fine ...

Yep, your computer is simply not powerful enough. Unless you have an 8K monitor then it's practically pointless. Use 4K H.264 as others advised.

For footage you've already recorded you could downscale it with a free tool called handbrake.

I have an 8k tv, thats why i wanted to check how it looks there just for curiosity hehehe

For some reason my ipad some times plays the video without problems
Other times have issues playing the same video and it tells me to download the video if i wanted to see it.

May have to do with storage space or if you have other apps running at the same time
