After the latest update (DJI Fly 1.1.9 version) , I noticed that Mavic Air 2 is not that responsive as before. Normal and sports mode become slow. Anyone experienced the same?
My Mavic Air 2 could fly at speed 68km/h before firmware v0340 and DJI Fly v1.1.8 updated.
Can your MA2 fly above 68km/h speed after firmware v0340 and DJI Fly v1.1.9 updated?
After DJI Fly v1.1.9 update , it could only fly up to the speed 50km/h. What's wrong with the latest version of DJI Fly? I assume that it's related to Obstacle Avoidance or settings.
Should I turn off Obstacle Avoidance in order to get back the fastest speed with sport mode and even normal mode?
Any advice?l

68kmh can only be achieved in sport mode which, when selected, disables obstacle avoidance anyway. I flew my MA2 yesterday on the latest firmware and fly app version and hit 42MPH in Sport mode (around 68kmh) - I didn't notice any issues with speed or acceleration at all mate.

I have experienced this issue with DJI Fly v1.1.9, not 1.1.8.

Yeah, I'm using 1.1.9 on my iPhone XS - strange. Were the winds fast that day you tried it?

Thanks for your comments.  I would do a range test again and check the wind speed and flight speed

I found the problem.  Before take off,  do not switch to sport mode first, must take off  first  and switch from normal to sport mode, otherwise,  it would remain normal mode with below 40 km/h flight speed.
You could see my footage I took this morning here with normal and sport mode at

Interesting find - I only ever take off in N mode and ensure to check the flight mode on the RC switch as part of my pre flight checks. Good to know to keep it that way.

I almost always fly in N mode by default. Only rarely switching to S mode.

It depends on the situation. When you need to do active track on a speed boat or car,  it's better to use Sport mode.  Otherwise, the drone would often lose focus.

Those are not things I'm likely to be doing
