I love the way that FPV Drones fly, so I wanted to see if I could get my Mavic Air 2 to look a little like it.




Any tips on how I can get a smoother look in the FPV Mode would be really appreciated (aka best gimbal and control settings)

It does. I remember using fixed wing mode on the original Mavic Pro which was similar but the drone remained in constant forward pitch and you just used the yaw stick to steer it. Great fun, especially in Sport mode at 40MPH. FPV mode does give a totally different look to the footage - makes it tempting to get into real FPV too!

Same here mate

Makes me feel a bit sick... It doesn't seem to work as well as a GoPro mounted to a fpv drone.

I agree it's not nearly as good. If I was a bit smoother on the controls I bet it would look a lot better!

The GoPro's now have hyper smooth technology built into them making the footage smooth like butter. With the MA2 you are purely relying on the gimbal. It's still cool that they have it there. I think with DJI Goggles it would be fun though.

Very nice video. I have build around 30+ FPV quads and currently have 14, they are so much more fun to fly. The MA2 is great for photos and videos but you just can't beat the thrill of an FPV quad. Here's some of the quads I've built, all of the 3D printed are my designs. The first one shown takes 4" props and I've hit 93MPH according to the GPS.

It’s really difficult to try to mimic the look of a fpv drone, you have to fly fast and turn a lot while still trying to make the motion look smooth.
