Hey Everyone,
I am using Mavic Air. I haven't used the drone for 2 months and took it out for recording fall foliage. It was fine on the first shot. Later I got these issues; I am not sure what happened all of a sudden. Please suggest how to fix it.
Additionally, clicking on the IMU calibration doesn't do anything.

TIA

Try doing a firmware refresh/update via the Assistant 2.

Are there any large metal objects nearby?

Metal would affect the compass and not give him the other issues he is experiencing

Did you land on concrete,  sometimes there's a lot of metal reinforcement that can cause interference.

Sorry, I didn't notice the message about the firmware status "Abnormal". Then you really should try updating the firmware.

Thats not the FW status. On the far left it states 'overall status' - that line just shows he is also on the latest firmware. When you tap 'abnormal' it shows the overall aircraft status as shown on the following screen. The accelerometer and gyroscope are part of the IMU.

He should calibrate the IMU.

Hello,

When I tried to connect to DJi Assistant 2, it says product not supported!

Yes, But I did a normal soft landing. No hard landing or rough.

Hello,

When I tried to connect to DJi Assistant 2, it says product not supported!

You have something seriously wrong with it, I doubt anyone on here might be able to help, best bet is to send it in for repairs.

Was it damp (humid) out?  With drone possibly colder than outside air?

I agree - it looks like a massive IMU failure. I would return the drone to DJI for a proper diagnostic evaluation

You need to download assistant again, a pain I know but that’s the way it is for as long as I’ve been using it.

I don't have any insurance or Dji care. Do you know what will be the cost of repair?

As per Dji, if I decline to repair after knowing the cost estimate, then I have to pay for shipping.

It was not. It was a fairly cold morning here in NH with the temperature around 40F. Don't think that is an issue

I was looking at this video where the person had the same exact issue and able to fix it after a long session (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgF5Fee3Is4). I know there are issues opening the drone when you are not skilled, but, if replacing the IMU is the solution, then do you know what Dji will charge me?

That looks easy enough to do and a new imu costs $20

Hello there apatra. I am sorry for the trouble this has caused and thank you for reaching out. Since you have done multiple troubleshooting steps that could possibly rectify the issue on your DJI Mavic Air. However, it seems that the problem persists, we highly recommend you to contact our DJI support team at ( https://www.dji.com/support ) For further assistance and for further evaluation. Again I am sorry for the trouble and thank you for your kind and understanding.
