It's not exactly as you wrote. CE marking alone is not sufficient to pass the customs check, there also should be Declaration of Conformity EC included with the imported goods. As I remember, such declaration is included inside the package. Maybe custom officer simply didn't wanted to open the box and void the seals?
There is a massive import of goods from China, and many of these goods are marked CE (what a problem is to print two letters on the box?) but doesn't conform to European laws. This is especially a problem with many toys that are often very dangerous to use or contains unhealthy chemicals. This is why Polish customs are so serious about goods imported from China, trying to prevent such dangerous items entering the community market. And I think it's very good. For customs officer this is just a toy. So this is not a problem with some "drunken Polish customs general", but this is the way European law works.
In fact, declaration of conformity should be easily available at the DJI site. |
