Hi guys, my Osmo action camera cannot find the Samsung EVO select 256 GB SD card. Actually, it works at the beginning. But after I took a video more than 10 seconds. The camera will stop recording and report no SD card. Sometimes rebooting the camera will help. However once it starts taking a video, SD card crashes again. Is it the problem of the card or the camera? I have formated the SD card a few times use the camera. Thanks

Make sure as well that you are using the recommended SD card: Osmo Action supports microSD cards with capacities of up to 256GB.

I have a similar problem but my Osmo action takes a long time to initialise the card on stratup. Then if I start recording it will not stop recoding or access the menus unless I switch the unit off remove battery and restart the device. Sometimes it just freezes and you cannot access any functions or turn it off you then need to remove the battery to restart the device. I am using a Sandisk extreme pro U3 170MB/s card 256GB and a Scandisk Extreme U3 16GB card both have the same problem. The unit can also not format the memory cards return a message unable to format card. The firmware is 01.10.00.40(7251) which seems to be latest from DJI download site. Also cannot reset factory settings it just starts and never finishes reset process. I have hardly used this device since purchasing it it is such an annoying situation.

I just had a similar problem - my DJI action 2 shows that I have no sd card - yet from November 2021 until this afternoon August 4th, 2022 it never had a problem with my SD Card . I have used it in the pass many times and late this evening when I wanted to transfer my data from my storage memory of my DJI Action 2 camera to my SD Card it simply shows that I have no card inserted. I tried to reformat my SD Card and again it camera shows it does not see it my SD Card. I tried my SD Card on another camera and it works fine. I tried a new SD card same as the one I had used for so many months but NO SD CARD …

I reset the camera to factory setting but that also did not work

DJI what are my options - I do have DJI Replacement Care plan for 3 replacement - should I use this or is it a warranty matter since the product is less than one year old? Please advise DJI

Hello, there. Sorry for your inconvenience. Would you please check whether SD cards can be normally read on other devices? Like PC, Mobile devices, etc. Also, you may try to format the SD card after you back up all the materials.

Hi, there. Sorry for your inconvenience. Based on your issue description, would you please check the SD card slot and see whether there are any objects in it? Also, we would like to know if there are any other abnormalities.  After all the things are checked, we will recommend you apply for an online repair request and then send it back for further diagnosis. After using my DJI osmo action for couple of years, it suddenly stopped working and it can not detect my SD card anymore. And when I try to reset my action camera it's taking forever to restart it.

Hi there, have you tried with another SD card to see if it could work or not?

It happens to me 3 times and i found solution.
i believe format windows popup when i bump action 4 camera during recording.
1. need to format windows popup when connect to laptop(windows11) or pc(windows10) through action4 usb-C directly.
2. need to format windows popup when connect to laptop or pc through microSD usb reader.

today i remove microsd card from action 4 and put it to samsung a30 microsd slot and connect to laptop then it could transfer video files to laptop
without error

I just had the same problem with a Kingston 128 gb. My problem was solved ( even tho it sounds crazy ) by formating the card using a camera from the competition, yeah you know which one... GP.
