Mostly the system rear status lights. Ideally the battery lights as well. I tired some duct tape but I still see the lights with about 10 layers

Hello there 727. Thank you for reaching out and for this inquiry. I am sorry to say that the DJI Mavic Mini's aircraft status indicator light can not be turned off. The aircraft status indicator is located at the rear of the DJI Mavic Mini. It communicates the status of the drone's flight control system. Thank you.

Thanks for letting me know. I see page 12 of the manual has all of the explanations of what the light means.

Black insulation tape

might have to find some. 10 layers of duct tape didn't really do the job

I'm not gonna remember what they mean mid flight anyways

Why would you want to turn them off ?

Mostly because they don't have any benefit for me. I'm not gonna remember what they mean mid flight so no point in having them for me

Unless they are in the way of something you are trying to accomplish (stealth?), I would not cover them. That is part of the "find my drone" feature and could be very helpful in finding a lost drone, although the drone will still flash the light in some color at all times. Also, the tape could inhibit cooling to a small degree.

Wasn’t considering that. Good point, I’ll juts leave the lights alone

Just be careful it does not open up mid flight and get caught in the props

I'm certainly not going to remember them all either, but if you see anything but blinking green, there may be an issue that you can look up later.  For the most part, the only one I am really looking for is flashing green a little while after power on.  If I fly into low battery, the flashing red is pretty obvious, but so are the obnoxious warnings on screen!

Heck the mini is so small you don’t see them very far away anyway.
Black vinyl electrical tape.

A pretty tenuous "thread" anyway (pardon the pun) but when the Mini is 50 metres up and 200/300 metres away you're not going to be able to pick out a flashing light sequence with any degree of certainty.
What's the point of covering them up, with all the associated risks of tape fouling the props?

You guys should pay more attention instead of just piling on. The OP canceled his plan in post #22 above....yesterday.
