Nice find, I would have hoped for a M3 which would have made more sense to me since the M2 is already 2 years old.

All righty then. I think the "cow fart" resistance factor will be very important since that is very hard to predict and does not get covered by any weather forecast service.

Wow, what a commercial!
If you are flying close enough to a cow that the flatulence will affect you then you should fly with prop guards because that tail will destroy you.
I used to hand milk cows so I've hands on experience.

Until they can have it CE classified releasing a drone that size would not sell in Europe and we would have to wait for it to be replaced of model bumped before it could be classified.

The word is it’s already in beta testing, so he may have some insight through drone community, I think this could be released in 2/3 weeks ready for Christmas.

Until they can have it CE classified releasing a drone that size would not sell in Europe and we would have to wait for it to be replaced of model bumped before it could be classified.

That's the reason why DJI is launching a Mini 2. They need to have a new model ready to be classified C0 after January 1st 2021. Please be aware that current Mini isn't a class C0 as it stands, it needs to be modified to comply with class C0 requirements.  If DJI doesn't have a new Mini model by January 1st 2021, the Mini will be classed C1 as the MA2, losing its 249gr beneficts in Europe and UK.

Class C0 do not require training but class C1 do. Pilots of class C1 drones have  to pass a test and certification on-line.

This is the driving reason for DJI to launch the Mini 2 just one year after the Mini 1. Of course DJI took advantage and revamped the Mini with some features requested by OP.

First 4K, the sensor was capable of 4K but the slow Mps didn't allow the data to be transfered, A minimum of 60 Mps is required for 4K videos. Even if the sensor isn't changed, and it maybe, 4K is acheivable.

Activ Track, DJI has stated on this forum that without frontal OA there will be no AT on the Mini. So, Mini 2 can came with frontal AO and maybe rear too. Of course this will add some weight.

As the Mini 2 battery has a higher voltage of 7.7V (7.2V on Mini 1) and a lower capacity of 2250 mAh (2400 mAh on Mini 1) it may indicate a different battery cell technology and possible a smaller and lighter battery cell. This would save weigh for hardware to be added as frontal OA.

Lastely, Occusync would be a great move from DJI as it will bring the Mini 2 above its competitors like the X8 and Zino 2. One of the things that the Mini 2 has to comply with the C0 class is a different controller and the MA2 controller complies with these requirements. Using the MA 2 controller will save time and cost to develop a new controller of modify the existing one.  An increase in price would be accepted to have the Mini 2 with occusync.

Just to complement my comment as far as EASA rules is concerned this is a chart for EASA rules.

[view_image]

The test for class C1 will allow to fly a C1 class drone in sub-categories A1 and A3. Current MA2 and MA2 bought before having the C class homologation will be considered legacy drones. They can fly in sub-categories A1 and A3 until December 31st 2022. After January 1st 2023 they can only fly in sub-categorie A3. Same applies to MM1 and MM2 without C class marking.

I would suspect DJI would want you to buy a better drone for that.  This is after all the entry level budget model.
