Assuming DJI has released the long waited Mavic Mini 2 for enthusiast that will be able to fly up to a jaw dropping 10km in distance with an upgraded battery that can power up to 31 minutes roaming in the sky, merely 1 minutes longer than the legendary maximum 4km flight distance Mavic Mini that has proven to be able to bring your craft back home without any psychological threat nor interference in your mind but with the current infamous 6Km extended flight distance Mavic Mini 2, is there any chance to bring back the craft safely after a none sightseeing by chance for the 10Km journey?

hi frankly I don't think so because the announced speed of the MINI 2 and exactly the same as that of the Mavic Mini is just an announcement effect to tell you how much the transmission and much more solid on the Mini 2 but I I have great doubts that we can go 10km with 1 minute more battery

Unless we count 10 km there and back and it would be possible

just my point of view though because I don't see the logic unless DJI management has noticed that there is too much tea break time for the staff at the complaints department so the release of MM2 is just for one purpose.. To keep them busy.. LoL

My inspiration came from the Solar Impulse 2:

My inspiration came from the Solar Impulse 2:

WIth the Mavic Air 2 I have gotten 7.5 km for a total trip distance of 15.5 km.  That was in P mode which is roughly the speed of sport mode in the Mini.  So I think 4 km is a good estimate based on the battery.  The signal range with Occusync 2.0 to battery distance should be very well balanced in comparison to the Air 2 which has the battery to go further but often the signal just can't manage the distance.

I think you're getting at that 30 minutes of battery only gets you 4km and with 1 extra minute you're able to fly and additional 6km from a one minute increase. I hope you understand that you can fly much further then 4km on 30 minutes of battery, I have a flight were I have flown 6.57km in only 13 minutes.

With Occusync 2 (If it's as good as they say) I would expect much longer distances given the increase in range, but realistically the mm1 battery has a max of real world time of 25/26 minutes. The mm2 should be 27/28min of actual flying time, but we'll know soon enough.

The maximum distance that was able to achieve with my Mini, in one flight, was 7,13 Km. With a 30 minutes battery...
If Mini 2  has a 31 minutes battery, how do we take advantage of the 10 Km distance?
