60 fps 1080i does not work on Vision

I have tryed to set 60 FPS at 1080i and App shows it as Accepted but when i analyze the Video only 30 FPS where recorded.

whats going wrong here?

hi, it is a misleading specification, there is no such beast.  1080i is interlaced format therefore 1080i/60 is actually 60 half frames , interlaced like a comb, which equal 30 full frames per second.  For video work always shoot at 720/60p which is true 60fps.  30fps is too slow for moving camera video work.

Well bugger me, thanks Rod for calcifying that, ive always thought that I was recording at 60fps and it seems im not, I will be from now on

Also remember that  720p in theory is actually sharper than 1080i as the pixel count per frame is so much higher.  AND youtube has to convert to progressive if you post an interlaced video, so more degradation will take place.  So 720p/60 folks- that's where you must be.
Another tip for more consistent video: I always fix my ASA at 200 to stop the auto process cranking it up and down all over the place, and minimise aperture exposure compensations by keeping to wide rather than spot measurement.  This is essential if you are including a lot of sky in your horizons as it will better expose the land mass  rather than turning it black.  Hope this helps.
