M2 Standard controller needs to discharge down to 60% if not used for a couple days otherwise users may find inflated batteries and other issues months later.

Just a reminder that it is recommend to refer to the maintenance guideline of Intelligent battery to maintain the RC. If the battery will not be used to more than 10 days, it is recommended to discharge it manually until the battery level is between 39% and 74%. At least fully charge the RC once every three months. I mean do a firmware update so it does it by itself in 3-5 days?

That is news to me. I have never seen any of my controllers discharge. Like yours they stay well above 90%. Yes the aircraft batteries discharge to 60%.

More than likely not a true reading. Put it on the charger and leave it until it reaches a full charge

I think he wants it to self discharge like the drone batteries do.

Yeah, it is not an intelligent flight battery with an auto discharge function. The best thing to do is just fully recharge it before heading out as the reading may not be accurate after being unused for so long and the last thing anyone wants is a sudden voltage drop with the RC in flight.

Hes complaining that if you leave it charged the batteries will swell up.

I dont think Ive seen any complaints of that from the controller,  drone many but never the controller.

I've never experienced any with an RC but I always fully recharge my remotes with the flight batteries before heading out
