Does anybody knows which mode Mini2 use for RTH? In Mini it was the normal mode which in some windy cases was not enough for RTH
I mean the auto RTH when signal lost.

Sounds like normal mode to me.

Hello there Debugger. Thank you for reaching out regarding the inquiry about the DJI Mini 2 RTH speed. Please be advised that If the aircraft is further than 20 m from the Home Point when RTH begins, it will return home at a horizontal speed of 10.5 m/s. Nice info but only if you are not in a "signal lost" situation.
My first thought was about what speed / mode the mini 2 will use during RTH after signal lost in a windy situation, and If this speed will be enough to overtake wind.

In Mini 1 there were many cases of lost aircrafts because the N mode was not enough to overtake wind.

For me, a good idea would be the the RTH speed to be always in S mode, to ensure that there will be no any fly away situation by the wind.

Given that the Mini 2 can handle a fresh breeze I think it is more likely that it will maintain its course and speed but the main issue is that in doing so it will drain the battery more rapidly. TBH I wouldn't fly it too far away unless it is in practically windless conditions.

Not yet.
I'll get it for sure, maybe in 2-3 months
I like 4K and Ocusync 2.0 but I love my Mavic Mini too. Last week I got Care Refresh+
As far as now I'm more than happy for the footage it can get

Good for you - no rush mate!

Unless it is windy, normal mode is probably best.  P/Normal mode seems to get better battery life than sport over the same distance.

It doesn't fly back in Sport mode when failsafe RTH is initiated anyway.

Thanks for the clarification.

It is improved over the Mini. The Mini wind resistance is 8 m/s max and the Mini 2 is 10 m/s (same as the MA2). Also the tilt angle is increased from 20 to 25 degrees. So it should be better able to handle headwinds. Mine did seem to handle the wind better today. Not a real test yet but encouraging,

Remember the standard advise if flying in windy conditions.  Fly out against the wind so your RTH is with the wind.
