The Yıldız Mountains or Istranca Mountains, which are parallel to the Black Sea coast of Thrace, consist of a mountain chain of approximately 300 kilometers from Bulgaria to Istanbul. The highest point of this chain is the peak of Mahya Mountain, which is approximately 1,031 meters tall, in Kırklareli. In the past, beech forests were cut down and replaced by maquis and red pines. The main points of the Yıldız Mountains in the northwest-southeast direction of Kırklareli are geological granite and gneisses. There are crystal surfaces on it. The highest part of Yıldız Mountains, which is a medium-high mountain range, is between Kırklareli and Demirköy. The large and small Mahya Mountains in this section reach 1,031 meters. The altitude decreases in the northwest of the Kırklareli-Demirköy line. The main altitudes here are Fatmakaya Hill (901 m), Sivritepe (851 m), Kaletepe (846 m), Dalyantepe (725 m), Bocalar Hill (680 m), Karakoltepe (719 m), Yeltepe (618 m), Çavuştepe (726 m). m) and Topkoru Tepe (592 m).
