Hey wordsaremything, when did you place your order? I placed mine on 6/12 and it still shows it as Shipping Status: Pending. DJI replied to my email and said it would ship end of June or beginning of July.

What logo does it have on it?  Why did you post two of the same pic?

Nice! I have the same one and am pleased with it.

I sandwich my iPad mini (and a backpack rain cover) between the front cover foam and front cover.

Is this hardshell compact enough to fit in an overhead bin on a airplane?  I know my DJI Phantom 3 Plus Universal Case is too big to take inside the plane & I would have to check that in.

For UK flights seems so,

Flew with mine on a FlyBe flight to Glasgow.  Wouldn't fit in to the overhead bin.  It had to go under the seat in front of me.  Tight fit but it worked.

I will be taking my P3 along with your ND filters to a really awesome place tomorrow. Can't wait to see what kind of footage I can get.

Despite the wait, I'm really happy with my hardshell backpack with also came to my house today (Along with my Phantom Filters!). Awesome size, will certainly fit in any plane I fly in regularly (I fly about 90 segments a year). Should fit in any airplane down to a Q400 or CRJ-700.

iPad mini fits great. Used it to take the craft to a park today. Great fit, feels great on the back.

I ended up ordering the GPC DJI PHANTOM 3 BACKPACK LIMITED EDITION.  Size is standard Carry-on Baggage Size (US).

I'm using a Kindle Fire HDX. It fits perfectly.

Put it to the test today. Hiked way up to over 11,000 feet, almost died from lack of oxygen but the pack works perfectly and it nice and comfy.

What is the foam piece in the Backpack? It is located at the gimbal's place in Backpack.

I think the strap should go under your antennae?

I agree... for safety, the antennas goes over the strap... the other way is to much pressure on the antennas.

Do I have to attach the gimbal guard when i put the Phantom in the backpack? Or is this a Problem according to the foam Piece because of space?

I leave the gimbal guard on - no issue with space

Does the backpack have room for prop guards?

Yeah i do         

I've also got this backpack (very good stuff!!) and unfortunately there is not enough space for ipad air inside. iPad mini fits.
