When will the universal remote „Smart Controller“ finally will be supporting the DJI Mini 2??

The sooner the better! But let's hope they fix the bugs too; apparently there're still some issues running the latest FLY app on the smart controller

Not just the fly app, but also the firmware of the SC needs upgraded for the mini2.

It took about 6 months for DJI to compile a 32 bit DJI Fly App and update the firmware for the Mavic Air 2 for the Smart Controller.  Development time should be significantly less for adding the Mini 2 now that the DJI Fly app is supported.  DJI will need to add the Mini 2 to the Smart Controller firmware and rollout a firmware updated for the Mini 2 also.  Hopeful, it will not be too long before the update is released.

Somebody got an answer that it wasn't possible "at the moment". As far as I know, DJI didn't announce it yet, like they did with the Air2.

As the Mini 2 has occusync 2.0, it is likely, but no promises made.  So, we have to see what a future update of the firmware of the SC will give us.

Because I have a SC to fly my M2P, I would like to see it too to fly my Mini 2 with it.
I would understand from commercial point of view, the SC cost a lot to fly with just the Mini2. For those who already have one, it surely would be nice if it would be compatible.

If this gives any hope ...   ;-)

It may be true that no promise was made when DJI released the Mini2 that it will be compatible with the Smart Controller. However, when DJI released the Smart Controller, it 'was' clearly described that it will support future drones using Occusync 2.0. In other words, DJI promised the Smart Controller will be compatible with the Mini2.

they may or may not have the information but they may not be authorized to post the information on an open  public forum for everyone in the world including the competitors to see it.

More important, when will you release a lightweight and portable controller for the Mini 2. This is supposed to be an ultralight and ultraportable drone and you've doubled the size of the controller and increased the weight by 60%!

It's really disappointing that DJI have done so well reducing keeping the weight of the drone down and making it fold so small elegantly, but the controller weighs more than the bloody drone now! I'm not all that bothered about the takeoff weight being 249g, for me the only reason I choose a Mini 2 over a Air 2 is compactness and weight for travel. I use my Mini 1 for videography in remote areas that require several days hiking to reach. The Mini 1 controller was a great design!

I understand it's probably needed for OcuSync, but I would have bought a Mini 2 on release if it weren't for the massive increase in size and weight for the controller. Now I never can buy it unless there's a lighter controller released!
