Hi,
In the new EASA rules the following: [ EU 376/2014 ]

It is mandatory to notify the 'air' authority when: (many more, just few in this list)  [ for the dutch > IL&T 'voorval general aviation ]
  • Flyaway ; even if drone is found afterwards
  • Temporarily or continue loss of control of drone
  • Bird hit or bird attack to drone
  • Problems with drone battery
  • Temporarily or continue loss of C2 connection (comms RC<>Drone)

Wonder how many pilots are submitting these incidents....

If i think back in the years flying Spark, MA and now my MM1 and MA2 ; more than 20 complaints ?

cheers
JJB

Even for C0 drones in A1? Didn't found anything about that in the rules: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal- ... 47-20200606&from=EN

Doubt anyoune will ever notify those incidents.

"Hi EASA, I lost connection 3 times in my 9 flights today but luckily the RTH worked wonderfully, see ya tomorrow ;)" XD

I'd be nonsense, one of the main purposes of the new regulation is to remove unnecessary paperwork.

guess so, im my country you have to register your drone > 250 gram or any drone with camera.

Register means you become part of the 'aviation' world, so EU 376/2014 is applicable.

But what about pilot mental lapses? It seems like those would be the most interesting to the authorities.

Mental issues have to reported as well!   Not sure if the mental disturbed pilot will report him/herself....

That`s why in multi crew aircrafts the crew social management is so important!

As 376/2014 says only the following need to do reports:

It's a regulation for manned aircrafts, if drones had to do such reports it would specify it in the drone regulation. For C0 A1 (Mini 2) you only need to register (it's less than 250g but it's not considered a toy), read the instructions book and fly within the rules for that category (120m from the ground, VLOS, nightflight allowed, over city allowed, over people allowed but not over crowds, etc), nothing more.

PS: In Europe ofc.

I just passed my A1/A3 and A2 exams, in the approved lessons this is a topic ; reporting incidents.
Checked this on the Dutch Air authority, and the same on their offcicial website referring to 376/2014.

So waiting now for answer of IL&T, the dutch govn bureau wich is deals with "Air" issues.
