Hi all,


Just took my mini 2 out for the first flight and was just hovering about 130 feet up when all the sudden it fell out of the sky (luckily it seems to have no damage). I did have a GPS warning but that went away before take off. I put my flight log in and it doesn't say anything about my flight and it has my location as if I was in the ocean. It had me do my pre flight calibration but did I miss anything else I should do before flying? Wind was under 5 mph so I don't think it was that.

Is 1.2.2 the app version? I checked and that's what I am using. Do I do it a different way then. Cause I did upload it to that and that was what was wrong.

Flightlogs from FlyApp 1.2.2. cannot be read anymore by PH.
Only Airdata but only the basics, not enough data to analyse imo.

Try an upload, maybe this data is enough to detect a general error (?)

Phantomhelp doesn't read anything from a flight done with app version 1.1.2.
Airdata partly reads it, but not enough to properly analyse it.

"GPS signal weak. Switched to Attitude mode. Aircraft unable to hover. Fly with caution (Code: 120088)"
Although 19 satellites are received !  To see under General > Notification > HD Flight Player
And during flight "Motor error. Check propellers and fly with caution (Code: 120652)" at 1m 50.3

A csv can also be downloaded there, but as jjb and labroides already said probably not usable with their tools.

We have had a similar case here a few days ago (https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=232173), but I don't know whether the owner has sent in the mini2, mmmhh.

Wow, I thought I was good on satellites and it looks like I was. I wonder if 1.2.2 has some issues. I take it there's no way to download a older version of the dji fly app on iOS?

Hello there Tucanz. I am sorry to read and to know what happened to your DJI Mini 2's previous flight.  Since there was a crash that happened before. It would be best to contact our DJI support team at https://www.dji.com/support for further assistance and assessment of the said DJI Drone. Again, I am sorry for the trouble this has caused and thank you for your understanding.

For me this is definitely not a pilot's mistake and there were enough satellites at the start. Bird strike or flying against an obstacle can also be excluded? In this respect, it would certainly be a warranty case if you decide to send the drone in. First you should create a ticket and send the flight log along. In my opinion, downgrading an iOS flyapp is a little bit tricky (search for "flyapp ios downgrade"). But not sure whether the 1.2.2 ios is actually buggy. With Android a rollback is not a problem via the APK Mirror, just uninstall the old and install the new one.
