I just discovered a new version for Android users is ready for downlod on the DJI download page.
But i could not find any information whats included or improved with the new version.

saw a tickbox to disable the tips in the flyapp, but mayby that was already 1.2.2 ....

installed but no particular evidence of novelty.
I guess some bug fix that was necessary to be fixed infact now also the Dronelink beta for Android works.

The only thing is CRUISE CONTROL and maybe live video in find my drone. I am not sure about the second one

It would be interesting, if they corrected the RTH behavior.

Cruise control was not in 1.2.2 for Android release note advised it would come later it was only on the Apple version.

Nice find on the live view for "Find My Drone". I'm not sure either if it was there before. FYI for anyone trying to find it. My first try was to use the "Find My Drone" off of the "Safety" tab, but this option isn't showing up by accessing it in this manner. For the live view you will need to go through "Profile" and then "Find My Drone" before you will see the fourth bottom option to display the live view.

Excample:

Perhaps you misunderstand.  The "side loading" that you decry is  getting access to the developer's direct version of the app.  Other versions, from other "stores" are more likely to contain problems than the one that the developer created for its' modified version of the Android OS ( I can only address that OS because it's the one contained in the Smart Controller, which I own.).  And... why can't you do sideloads? Just go to the DJI website.
