Great test indeed and many thanks for daring as well as great footage. That convinced me to get the Mini 2 now.

Thanks for sharing, I get 500 -700m max distance. But I think part of my issue is height I usually fly around 100ft AGL, approx. 40 m.

I could have gone even further, but the wind was 14 kilometers per hour and gusts of wind 25 kilometers per hour

all my flights are over 1000 meters and altitude over 80 meters
but it is strange that you only have 700 meters
I had 700 meters max with the mavic mini 1 and then I lost the signal

Were you piloting the drone from an elevated position like a hill?  That can greatly improve the signal range as the signal is not passing through dense WiFi and has a better line of sight.   

I would be really interested to see others post range data flying from an elevated position vs ground level.

The difference in range for me has been x4 greater from an elevated position.  Which is a tremendous improvement.
