i am having problems with my p3 pro, i am on the latest fw  1.2.6
i think its after i updated to this, think....

when the p3 is flying you can see it starting to lower itself for no reason, the screen says say 50m but its not still at that its lower and still coming down for no reason,
when i tell the drone to go up then screen then says real height like 40m and its ok for a while again, i also get ultrasonic errors and to return home.

when i tell p3 to land it also does not lad smoothly, kind of just hits ground and bounces, i have read here people to turn off VPS because i fly outdoors mostly

i guess we should not have to and all was fine i think until i went to latest fw and ios version, is their a fault with my VPS or is it a dodgy fw ?

it was all fine before and now i am thinking i maybe should not even fly it as it does not very stable now ?

I suggest you turn the VPS off for now and try ... until they bring out a new firmware.

DJI has confirmed that the 1.2.6 - 1.2.8 firmware broke the VPS system.  They are recommending that you DISABLE VPS until they release another firmware update to solve the issue.  Unfortunately it is NOT possible to revert back to previous firmware.  (This will also be changed in new versions so that you will be able to roll back in the future.)  The only solution right now is to DISABLE the VPS for now.

Land it in manual mode just by left stick. Do not use autolanding or CSC while sitting on the ground.

I have the same issue... still waiting for an upgrade.

There is no reason to have VPS turned on while flying out doors, It is intended for flying indoors where GPS lock is not possible.
