I am getting this very noticable flicker on all of my videos. For example: http://media.itsinbox.com/upload ... 1/6364/DJI_0345.MP4

If you concentrate on that small bridge without rails on the right you will see that when the drone starts to ascend it gets pixelated and then after certain amount of frames it gets clear again. I know that this drone uses variable bitrate codec and that these are probably just compression artifacts, but this looks too extreeme to me. I already tried using ND filters, manual and auto exposure and white balance, but it is still there on every video.

Does anyone know a way to fix this?

It looks like your shutter speed is too high,  ideally you want it double the frame rate.

This video is taken with ND16, 24 fps, ISO 100 and SS 1/50. These should be ok settings, or I’ve made some mistake?

That should be perfect,  do you have any sharpening turned on?

No, it's at default. Not sure if there are any sharpening options in DJI Fly app for this model.

I had a similar issue with intermittent flicker so I changed out SD card and issue went away.  Needless to say I don't use that first SD card anymore.

It has nothing to do with the SD card, that is simply uninformed conjecture.

It sounds strange to me too. Recording should just stop if the SD card is not fast enough, right? Since DowntownRDB had a similar problem I am going to change the card anyway and report the result.

Out of curiosity fans08b5dde5, have you tried to change the video settings from within the app itself, i had a flicker issue one time and changing the video settings from either Auto or 50Hz to60Hz seemed to stop it happening, i am wondering if this could be the issue.

I took Sandisk Extreme V30 A1, but unfortunately getting the same result. Next I am going to try mark117h's suggestion, but I think that this is a compression algorithm problem where P-frames between I-frames are loosing too much quality.

It is easier to spot the problem here as the brown part of the field "dances" in even intervals of around 1 second.
