Hi, Just unboxed, updated everything and ready to fly... Motion controller will activate camera/video and the curser in the screen moves about but it won't start or controller the drone. I'm guessing it's the Padlock sign in the box.  What am I doing wrong please? Thanks in advance.

Have tried that but it doesn’t do anything except give me 2 beeps.
Not sure the padlock emblem should be in that box but can’t find any information on it.
Also just tried to fly with the normal RC and that will not start the rotors either.  Does however recognise it as `I can change from camera to video and change the flight modes?

You need to hold & move the Motion Controller until the white dot is in the inner square. the outer border will turn green.

Only then will a quick double push on the MC 'Lock' button will start the motors. Pressing and holding the lock button will lift the aircraft into the air.

The 'Padlock' is a protection to ensure the Motion controller his held level(ish) prior to startup.

Oh, that's a problem, you may be able to unlock the zone, but you do it from the Fly App, under profile there is the option to unlock the zone.

Also the Fly app needs to be connected the goggles to do this.

Well, you actually are not in the middle of nowhere regarding airspace ;)
You can go east for some unrestricted places to fly. But... not to far east, you'd be entering Bagby airfield's space. DJI FPV will let you take off there, but that will be illegal.

Definitely not a Law breaker but so much has changed since I did my Qual in 2017

Am having similar problem except my RC will fly the drone no problems, but the motion controller will not. Followed all the above tips such as putting dot in the inner square and padlock will not unlock and outer square will not turn green. Am not in a no fly zone, have 15 satellites and everything works.... just not with the motion controller. Tried signing in/ out and back in on my account. Nothing seems to work. Any advice?

Im having the same problem, the 'LOCK' on the bottom is stopping me from flying.....can't figure out how to make the 'LOCK' sign go away....darnit.

Yeah I'm having the same problems. The drone will fly with the regular controller but the motion controller has that lock on it, it will control the gimbal but not launch.

Yes go to the fly safe app and unlock the zone, then in settings at very bottom of the fly app it says unlock a zone click that and then import license to the aircraft. It will fly

I got it put the dot in the green square 3 quick presses of the red button and you'll fly. It worked for me

Is it me or you can only link either the normal controller or the motion controller but not both at the same time?
Pain in the butt when I let my teenager fly it with the motion controller and then have to re-link with the normal controller when I get back on it
