So many rumours go out about thes things and so many get it completely wron, on this one I'm glad they got it wrong.

Makes me happy that the smart controller is compatible. I was thinking I would be shelving my SC.

Where did you see it would be compatible,   because that would prove OC3 could be retro fitted to anything with the RC231 remote too.

At least DJI Fly App 1.4.0 (downloaded to SC) shows that it could be connected to the Air 2 S...!!!

Smart controller compatibility is already in the release notes for update.

Its in the release notes also flypath announced he talked to dji .

So does that mean the Air 2S can transmit in both ocusync 2 & 3? The smart controller only lists as being ocusync 2.0 compatible.

I’m not certain how it will operate, it would be nice if it was explained. I’m sure somebody will offer up a plausible explanation.

I believe better signal may come from extra antenna but video feed is obviously O3

I think O3 is more a drone side upgrade (more antennas) than a controller side upgrade.

Probably it will fly in O3 both with smart controller and RC-N1

I updated the Fly app, and it says there's an update for the RC-N1 controller of my Mini 2... so probably the Air 2S/Air2/Mini2 and smart controller are exactly the same and the main changes are in the drone itself (wireless antennas and chip).
