Go and see ur phantom transmitter. There are two switches. S1 and S2. IF S1 switch i up, means it's off if the stick is on middle or below, it means it's on course lock and home lock

Sky, you need to switch from the default "phantom" mode to "Naza" mode in the assistant, then you can turn IOC on and configure S1 for Atti / Failsafe.
The manual shows you how to connect to the assistant and download any updates first.

What i know when you want use Cource Lock and Home Lock you have to put the RC already on these options before switch on the Phantom so it can find his Home Possition. Otherwise it will not work when you switch from OFF to Cource or Home Lock option.

The Phantom has to be configured in Naza mode from the assistant software, once changed it stays that way.
IOC need GPS for Home Lock, Course lock relies on just the compass apparently.
Not 100% sure as I always have full GPS lock with 7+ sats before taking off.

I initially downloaded the normal Phantom software, as I was not a seasoned flyer and was put off by the 'do not use naza software' stuff written. I have since downloaded the naza software but it will not connect or recognise that it it plugged in/connected in the naza mode It does recognise me in the standard phantom software.
What the heck have I done wrong?

it's OK. I just did not read the manual properly. All good. Now I know how to switch between the two!

What a newbie!!!

It's OK. I figured out that I had made a newbie mistake. All sorted.

Thanks all!
