In this still, you can make out the last few milliseconds of this red-tailed dragonfly, or red-tailed pennant, just before he met the left front blade of my Inspire and became several pieces of organic matter. Poor little guy. I guess he thought the Inspire was a rather large, but sexy female pennant, as he was buzzing it quite a lot before this happened.

May he rest in pieces.     {:2_35:}

Sorry, didn't mean to sound cold, sad to see any creature harmed!

What a way to get 'rejected'...  I've seen videos before where dragonflies chase r/c craft.

We are entering their airspace - let us be extreamly careful.
I always try to back out when birds are interesting in my Inspire, but I know this also could happen for me.
Sorry for the bird

LOL- some of those remarks are funny as all get out.

I don't condone the killing of anything, as I respect all life. Bu t this little guy was very fast and I didn't have any true reaction time to where I could have guessed what he was going to do.

He was in the frame for less than a 1/10 of a second.

I tried to talk to him after the accident, but he just fell apart.

A large bumble bee flew into my Inspire propeller once while I was landing. It made a louder sound than I expected and I saw two pieces of bumble bee fly in opposite directions. It definitely made me cringe.

I was about to take off once when a humming bird came out of no where and committed suicide on my front prop. It destroyed the prop and the I1 needed cleaning.
