Looks like a second edition (SE) of the first Mini. Guessing they want to get rid of a bunch of parts they have laying around.

Though has the same controller as the Mavic Air 2 and Mini 2. As DAFlys said, Mini 2 has WiFi/Bluetooth for quick transfers

Definitely no follow up to the Mini2 - But it does allow for another firmware upgrade to the 2.

If the price is right thats going to be popular,   it might also explain why the affiliate programme has been suspended as there's not going to be much margin on it.

I am still tryin to wrap my head around how and why it could be cheaper. The new remote looks and feels much better (and more expensive) than the old one. I cannot imagine the battery being cheaper etiher. So how come this new set is cheaper?

Manufacturing costs are always a fraction of the sale price,   and for this there will be very little R&D costs to cover.

Well, that is true I guess they are consolidating the production lines for the batteries and the remote...

I guess my question is answered, Mini SE most probably is not coming with an Mini2/Air2  controller.  There is a picture of the back of the wallmart card and it is showing the old folding mini 1 controller. I guess the picture with the new controller is just a misplaced mini 2 pic...

Anyone have any news on the Mini 3?
