99 luftballons ( actually only 1 in the video) a song by Nena, and is actually a protest song.
Based on the NATO double decision of 1979, the deployment of Pershing II cruise missiles began in Germany in 1983. The nuclear payload of these missiles fueled the public's fear of the outbreak of nuclear war. This led to the emergence of the peace movement in the 1980s.
The idea for the lyrics came about in 1982 at a Rolling Stones performance in West Berlin, when Nena guitarist Carlo Karges saw a large number of colorful balloons being released. Karges wondered what would happen if these balloons pushed over the East Berlin border and provoked a paranoid reaction there.
The song describes how 99 balloons are released and are mistaken for UFOs. A general then sends an air fleet of 99 fighter jets into the air to scare them off. The air fleet shoots into the air at the balloons, which is then mistakenly seen by 99 war ministers of member states as an act of aggression and gives rise to the use of their war materials. The result of the ensuing 99-year war is the end of human civilization on Earth.
In the video I used the zoom function on the Mavic Air 2, to keep a safe distance. But you do sacrifice quality with that zoom function.
