Hello guys,

Does anyone know Dji Mavic Air 2 has Remote ID capability now? I like this drone and don't want to spend money on a new Dji Mavic. I don't mind the future update will bring Remote ID on Dji Mavic Air 2 as long it has one. Thanks.

None o the aircraft produced by drone manufacturers currently comply with Remote ID. The FAA has mandated that manufactures have until September 16, 2022 to comply for new aircraft sold in the USA. All aircraft will have to comply by September 16, 2023. In all likelihood non-compliant aircraft while be able to comply by attaching a Remote ID module to the aircraft.

personally in my opinion, i believe by the time you need to really be concerned with remote id, you will no longer be in love with your ma2 drone.

Unless that multirotor weighs less than 250grams.  Also do all R/C aircraft like planes and helicopters that do not have autonomous capabilities or any cameras on them require remote ID now as well?  If so this is not cool.  Russia and Germany for example don't.  Now THAT'S concerning...   the government is constantly finding ways to take away our freedoms. Even when its a harmless hobby thats been around since the early 80s...  

The last firmware update added Japanese remote ID capability to the MA2, so I wonder if it can apply to other countries as well when the time comes…

The above link doesn't work.  I know that the Air 2S is going to be compatible with Remote ID.  Will the Air 2 also be approved or is it too old to have the necessary hardware?  I need to determine if I need to replace my Air 2 before remote ID takes effect next year.

looks like we have another chance to fix this; this is huge!

Any update on MA2 remote ID? if they added it for Japan any word for North America? If I have to park my MA2 I will be flying an Autel Drone.
