If you've ever been bugged by the way the display bracket on the Phantom 3's remote control always unscrews itself from the body of the remote, here is an easy fix (see image). Get some thick walled clear acquarium hose and cut a piece about 1/2 inch (1.25CM) tall.  Unscrew the bracket, front and back, and push it on the front rod.  Now you can tighten it more easily, with comfort, and it will seldom if ever come loose. This is the perfect, easy fix for an annoying design flaw.

In addition to stopping the back out, did it help reduce the left to right rocking at all?

I installed a metal washer that fit over the second flange under the knurling. Seems to prevent the loosening issue and has also stabilized the mount. Sadly, being made of plastic, the mount flexes, so there's no more you can really do about that.

I purchased the metal bracket tot the Inspire 1. It fits perfectly on the Phantom 3 RC and is much more stable than the original bracket.
