Yeah, it is hard.
Don't make video's for the subs or views.
Make them because you like what you are making.
Share them on platforms with people that will probably be interested.
That's all you can do.

Please note that (whatever they tell you), youtube does not treat landscape video's as shorts.
Check the difference here :


You really have to make a portrait video, so edit in a 9:16 aspect ratio instead of 16:9
Most modern editors allow for this.

Right now you have just a 'short' video in youtube. Not a 'Shorts' video.
Does that matter : YES
Real shorts get a different viewing experience.



And they get pushed in peoples timeline more.

It is quite a bit more work, but is 'should' be worth it.
Although I think the lady's butt also contributes to her popularity......
