When I connect my wife's iPad to the slave remote it won't see any master controllers. If I connect her iPhone it does see the master controller.
I can't think of what setting I have overlooked on the iPad.

did you do a Jailbreak on your iphone and ipad?

jailbreak can be a reason why its not connecting
