Anyone else notice on their Smart Controller that touching the settings icon is a 50/50 or less proposition?

On my controller, it is more like one touch in 10 that actually is successful. It is so bad I turned one of the custome keys into my settings button.  Just wondering if my controller has a bad touchscreen or if this is normal for all devices.

The web site doesn't allow me to upload videos. I do not use drop box, google photos, or other sharing or social media.
