Useless information for me, not being a professional. I will wait to see user reviews to learn if there are any flight improvements other than the extended time. If not, maybe I don't bother and stick with my M2P.

I’m feeling the same way.   M2p does everything I need and so far flight time is not a problem.   Also I don’t really want to plug in to transfer files, that’s just killing the batteries quicker, sd card out is fine by me.

Things I would like to see are 60 mph top speed and 360 obstacle avoidance for at least 45 mph. That last one would need beefier power to stop it quickly.

The most important for me to ever upgrade to a new drone is ,  quieter drone and and ce/cx label in order to fly after 2022 with the certificates i am holding.

Well its guaranteed to have a CE label, thats for sure but the Cx is another matter,  although there is one guy saying that DJI told him that the EU model will come with a lighter battery to get under the 900 gram threshold,  much like they did for the mini 2 in Japan as they have a 199gram limit.  Time will tell.

We will have to wait and see.

If the pricing Im seeing is right,  there is no way I can justify £5.5k for the top end model.

It won't be interesting for me at that price point. Nor at that weight.
Strange that they don't focus on the smaller drones. (from my point of view at least)

Theres a stigma that small is cheap in the drone space it seems.

I agree with you that sounds like an excellent product,   as long as it doesn't suffer the gimbal issues at -90 degrees.

It must be doable.
Most of the extra's are just software.

And a processor powerful enough to do it,   thats why the mini2 doesn't stick the pano's on the drone lack of power.

I'm looking strictly at the non-Cine model.  I don't need built in SSD or fast download capability.  I'm really looking forward to the release but I'm still anxious to see what Mini 3 will offer.  Would love to see a Mini 3 Pro version.

The mini3 is rumoured to launch one month after the Mavic 3 so might be worth holding out a bit longer.

Also sucks.  I just bought the V1 SC.  So would suck if I needed another controller, if I end up getting this beast.  Too much of a drone for me anyway!

Im finding it hard to justify over the M2P,  especially with the new EU rules around classifications that we believe it will not have.  Also its rumoured to top out at $5500.   I can buy a new electric car nearly for that.

I'm anxiously awaiting the initial reviews after the release of the Mavic 3 before I make a decision to buy or not.  As with new mobile devices I normally wait a month after release to see how buggy they are or aren't.  I do plan on taking a good look at the Mini 3.

I’m an iPhone guy so always get mine on launch day.  There’s no point waiting as I’m not going to switch brands.

With the current information, I'm reluctant to buy the Mavic 3 now. At this moment, there are no C-class drones available as some technical standards are still missing. So that means in EU we can fly it only under quite heavy restrictions. Will those standards be ready for the Mavic 3 release? I don't know. Will DJI be able to C-class their drones after sales? I don't know.

I got a Mavic 2 Pro that is my workhorse at the moment. My Inspire 2 is waiting for a new non-dangerous firmware, according to DJI they are working on it. If it ever will be released (DJI often promises, but not always deliver), I will start using the I2 more.

I’m with you. The lack of the Cx classification and the rumoured weight is not good. But EASA say they are ready to certify drones and expect them to be certified starting this year according to the faq they out out 10 months ago.
